Positively nuts

This one obviously isn’t for those dealing with peanut allergies, but… I have a new true love. It’s powdered peanut butter, and yes, when I first heard of it my response was, “Ewwwww…?”

But the thing is, it’s genius. It’s shelf-stable, low in fat and calories, and high in protein. It’s perfect for smoothies, granola, cookies… I could go on and on, but I’ll stop. In short: Good stuff.

And right now Amazon has a 16-ounce bag of powdered peanut butter for $11, and that’s eligible for Prime or Super Saver Shipping. That’s the cheapest price it’s ever been, and if you love peanut butter, I’d jump on it.

(Now if someone would just make powdered chocolate with 85% fewer calories and all the taste, my life would be complete.)

Addicted to this stuff in my morning smoothie. Or mixed with water to spread on apples or celery. So good. And only one WW point per serving. Love it!

I’m intrigued. We only ever have a spoonful of PB to scrape out of the jar when I go to make cookies and such so this will be good to have on hand. Thanks!

Oh, but they even make a chocolate version of this! Which I haven’t tried, but I LOVE the straight PB variety. It even makes good peanut sauce. And is fantastic in oatmeal.

D’oh, I’d had this tab open all day & didn’t see that I wasn’t the first with the good news about the chocolate. Psst: It is also a good deal at netrition.com.

The spouse and I are on a low carb diet. One of the snacks we eat is to mix a couple of scoops of low fat cool whip with a couple of spoonfuls of chocolate PB2. Tastes similar to a Reese’s peanut butter cup. Even though I flinch at the thought of consuming the chemicals in cool whip, at least, in the short term, I have a low carb way to satisfy my sweet tooth.

@Annette, you can always buy real cream and whip it with the mixer, (Like homemade old school whipped cream sans sugar), plus Choc PB, it tastes delish and way low carb! FYI
